Making Games with Heart
Hello! My name is Megan Schier and I’m a senior at Rochester Institute of Technology majoring in Game Design and Development. I have a large interest in creating positive experiences through games and making a positive impact.
Neo-Versailles
Role: UI Programmer
Neo-Versailles is a 3D Puzzle horror game made in Unity as a intercollegiate project between RIT and the ArtCenter in Pasadena, CA. The team was made of up over 25 students and was worked on for a year. RIT students were responsible for the engineering side of the project. I was responsible for the implementation and technical design of the game’s UI as well as communicating with artists to get needed assets.
Quack Attack
Role: Project Manager, Programmer, Audio Designer, UI Programmer
Quack Attack is a 2D platformer where resource management and pinpoint accuracy are key to defeating enemies and clearing levels fast. I was responsible for the management of the project as well as a general programmer on the project with a focus on the UI programming. The team was made up of 7 students and had a development time of two semesters.

A survival horror immersive sim about breaking the boundaries of perspective and uncovering reality.
Personal Eyes was part of the RIT MAGIC Makers Program and I am one of the Gameplay programmers on the project. I helped with sound programming, level design and the programming/designing of new enemies and abilities. An example of what I have done on the project is help create the Shadow's interactions and abilities and program mirrors. I used Unity and Visual Studio to help my team with the project. As this was a major team project, there were a lot of difficulties with communication and getting all parts to coordinate.
